Storage systems in a controlled environment

Storage systems in a controlled environment

We use this technology to store our crops.

Storage in a controlled atmosphere (environment) is a technology that can significantly increase the shelf life of products and preserve their quality.

The essence of the RGS storage technology is to create a storage environment with certain characteristics that take into account:

– Storage temperature conditions;

– Relative air humidity;

– The composition of the atmosphere in the storage chamber, in particular, the content of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

In a controlled atmosphere, compared to storage in a normal air environment, the quality of the fruit is better preserved, the green color is preserved longer, and the fruit remains firm longer. CO2 and oxygen also affect the biosynthesis of ethylene in fruits and its biological effect on ripening processes.
